Alan Rhodes is a second-generation glassblower who owns and operates a modern lampworking shop and studio in Emeryville, California. For nearly forty years, the broad range of his work has included the scientific, industrial, decorative, and experimental use of glass, in addition to fine art.

His award-winning work has been published in glass art periodicals, books of collectibles, as well as in the popular press. Alan regularly collaborates with artists in the Bay Area and elsewhere.
